Alright, it's no secret that within the last few months activity on the board has been very up and down. One minute we're hot, next minute we're cold. Your trusted administrators have tried really hard to peak interest and keep things going at a great pace, but the second season of Our Darkest hour has taken a little longer than intended to unfold on account of inconsistent posting and we are forced to take action. So, in an effort to keep things flowing at a reasonable pace instead of dragging about, we're implementing a new rule. It's called the Seventh Day Danger Zone. From now on, any threads that have not been responded to within seven (7) days are now put in a danger zone. What that means is that if Character A tags on October 2nd and Character B is up, Character B should try and respond as soon as possible to keep things flowing. If Character B does not reply within seven days, by October 9th, the administration (including moderators) will contact all involved in the thread on the seventh day with a warning that the thread is in the Danger Zone. The character in question will have until 11:59PM on the seventh day to tag, for at 12AM on the eighth day, which in this example would be October 10th, the thread is considered archive-able from inactivity and may be done without any other warning. NO ONE is exempt from this rule, for we really need to try and keep the flow of the storyline consistent. The only exception to the rule is a Leave of Absence, in which hopefully, your character is not in a thread when you leave anyway. There are 168 hours in a week...hopefully, you can find the time to post somewhere in there. If the thread is crucial to the plot, and something was to happen prior to the end of the thread, simply let administration know and we will make sure that the crucial detail is added to the thread when it is closed. We hope this does not discourage you from playing, but in fact, encourage you to get excited again! Our Darkest Hour is a plot driven storyline like no other that has been around for over a year, and we want to keep it around for a lot longer than that. So, happy playing everybody, and let's get play peaked once more! NOTE: This rule applies to any threads created after the posting of this rule, which is 3PM Eastern time on October 30th, 2009. If there are any threads prior to the implementation of this rule still lingering over seven days and waiting to be updated, players have until Monday, November 2nd, 2009, to do so before those threads are archived.
